Motorman for Ferry / Passenger Vessels (UK)

Job Description:
We are urgently recruiting a Motorman (MTM) for a new passenger vessel venture operating on the UK → Cape Town → Tristan da Cunha route. The vessel is a passenger ferry with a Gross Tonnage of 2,090 GT, with a maximum capacity of 36 passengers and 21 crew members. There will be 3 Messmen onboard. The contract duration is 9 months, with joining scheduled in the UK at the end of September 2026.

The Motorman will carry out duties according to rank, support the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, assist with engine-room activities, and maintain safety and good working conditions onboard.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Performing assigned engine-room duties according to rank
• Supporting safe and efficient vessel operations
• Assisting with machinery maintenance and routine engine-room tasks
• Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and good working conditions onboard
• Cooperating with engineers, officers, and other crew members

Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates applicable to the position
• Medical fitness certificate
• Valid seaman’s book
• Relevant qualifications for the applied position
• Relevant experience in the respective rank
• Proficiency in English communication
