Job Description:
PONANT Cruises / UVEA Marine Services S.A.S. is urgently recruiting an experienced Motorman for an international cruise ship assignment.
The successful candidate must have previous international shipboard experience in the same position onboard a cruise ship. Candidates must also possess practical plumbing skills, a valid III/5 Certificate of Proficiency (COP) and a valid US Visa.
This is a short-term opportunity with an estimated contract duration of 2–3 months.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assisting the engine department with routine maintenance and operational duties.
Supporting engineers with machinery inspections, repairs and maintenance.
Carrying out plumbing repairs and maintenance as required.
Maintaining machinery spaces, tools and equipment in safe working condition.
Following vessel safety, environmental and company procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid medical fitness certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Previous international shipboard experience as a Motorman.
Previous experience in the same position onboard a cruise ship.
Practical plumbing skills.
Valid III/5 Certificate of Proficiency (COP).
Valid US Visa.
