Job Description

We are currently recruiting qualified and experienced marine and technical personnel for positions onboard a Cruise Liner operating worldwide.

The vacancies cover senior deck and engineering officers, electrical, deck, maintenance, medical and cadet positions. Candidates should have relevant cruise vessel or seagoing experience, valid maritime qualifications and all applicable STCW documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the assigned position, responsibilities may include:

  • Carry out all duties associated with the assigned rank in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support the safe and efficient operation of the cruise liner.
  • Perform navigation, bridge watchkeeping, engine-room, electrical, deck or maintenance duties as applicable.
  • Maintain vessel machinery, equipment and technical systems.
  • Support passenger vessel operations while maintaining high safety standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs.
  • Participate in emergency drills, safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Maintain operational readiness and safe working conditions onboard.
  • Comply with company SMS, HSE procedures and applicable international maritime regulations.
  • Work effectively as part of a professional multinational crew.

Requirements

General Requirements

  • Relevant experience in the same or similar rank, preferably onboard cruise liners or passenger vessels.
  • Valid STCW certificates appropriate to the position.
  • Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) / Certificate of Proficiency (CoP) where applicable.
  • Valid Seaman's Book and passport.
  • Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
  • Good command of English.
  • Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and demanding cruise environment.
  • Additional vessel-specific or flag-state certificates may be required.

Position-Specific Requirements

Captain / Master

  • Valid Master Certificate of Competency.
  • Previous command experience on passenger vessels preferred.
  • Strong navigation, leadership and safety-management experience.

Chief Officer

  • Valid Chief Officer / Master CoC appropriate to the position.
  • Previous senior deck experience on cruise or passenger vessels.

Second Officer – Safety & Navigational

  • Valid OOW CoC.
  • Strong experience with bridge watchkeeping, navigation and onboard safety systems.

Third Officer

  • Valid OOW CoC.
  • Relevant bridge watchkeeping and deck experience.

Chief Engineer

  • Valid Chief Engineer CoC.
  • Extensive engine-room management and passenger-vessel experience preferred.

Second / Third / Fourth Engineer

  • Valid engineering CoC appropriate to the rank.
  • Relevant engine-room and machinery experience.

Chief Electrician

  • Relevant marine electrical / electro-technical qualification.
  • Experience with cruise vessel electrical, automation and control systems preferred.

Doctor

  • Valid medical degree and professional registration.
  • Relevant clinical, emergency or maritime medical experience.
  • Ability to provide medical care to passengers and crew.

Bosun

  • Relevant deck-rating certification.
  • Previous experience supervising deck crew and maintaining deck equipment.

Able Seaman (AB)

  • Valid STCW II/5 or applicable AB qualification.
  • Relevant deck and seagoing experience.

Ordinary Seaman (OS)

  • Valid entry-level deck-rating qualifications as applicable.
  • Previous seagoing experience preferred.

Carpenter

  • Proven marine / shipboard carpentry experience.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and repair of accommodation and vessel structures.

Fitter

  • Relevant mechanical / fitting qualification.
  • Experience with shipboard machinery maintenance and repairs.

Motorman

  • Valid STCW III/5 or applicable engine-room rating qualification.
  • Relevant engine-room experience.

Plumber

  • Relevant marine plumbing and maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of piping, pumps and shipboard systems.

Deck Cadet

  • Valid maritime education and cadet training documentation.
  • Required STCW certification.
  • Ability and willingness to complete onboard training.

Engine Cadet

  • Valid maritime engineering education and cadet documentation.
  • Required STCW certification.
  • Ability and willingness to complete onboard engine-room training.
