Job Description
Scout Crew is currently recruiting qualified and experienced yacht crew for opportunities onboard Sailing Yachts and Motor Yachts operating worldwide.
We are seeking motivated professionals for positions across the deck, engineering, culinary and interior departments. Candidates should have relevant yacht experience, appropriate qualifications and the ability to maintain high standards of safety, professionalism and guest service.

Key Responsibilities
Depending on the assigned position, duties may include:
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the yacht.
- Perform navigation, watchkeeping and deck operations as applicable.
- Maintain yacht machinery, engines and technical systems.
- Carry out exterior maintenance, carpentry, painting and general upkeep.
- Prepare high-quality meals for owners, guests and crew.
- Provide professional housekeeping, laundry and guest-service assistance.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene.
- Support guest activities, tender operations and watersports where applicable.
- Follow yacht safety procedures and participate in emergency drills.
- Maintain equipment and operational areas in excellent condition.
- Work effectively with other departments as part of a professional yacht crew.
Requirements
General Requirements
- Previous experience in the same or a similar position, preferably onboard Sailing Yachts or Motor Yachts.
- Valid STCW certificates, where applicable.
- Valid ENG1 medical certificate, where required.
- Relevant Certificate of Competency (CoC), professional qualifications or trade certificates, as applicable.
- Valid passport and seafarer's documentation.
- Good command of English.
- Professional appearance, strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Excellent teamwork, organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a demanding luxury yacht environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel worldwide.
- Additional yacht-specific qualifications may be required according to the position.
Position-Specific Requirements
Captain
- Relevant yacht command qualification and experience.
- Strong navigation, leadership and yacht-management skills.
Deck / Engineer
- Relevant deck and engineering experience.
- Ability to assist with both exterior operations and routine technical maintenance.
Sole Engineer
- Appropriate marine engineering qualifications.
- Proven ability to independently manage yacht machinery, maintenance and technical systems.
Deckhand / Mate
- Relevant deck experience and appropriate qualifications for Mate duties.
- Knowledge of deck maintenance, tender operations and safe vessel handling.
Deck / Carpenter
- Strong deck maintenance and carpentry skills.
- Experience with yacht exterior upkeep and repair work.
Deckhand
- Previous yacht deck experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning, painting, polishing, mooring and tender operations.
Sole Chef
- Professional culinary qualifications and experience.
- Ability to manage provisioning, menu planning and galley operations independently.
Sole Steward(ess)
- Strong all-round interior and hospitality experience.
- Ability to manage housekeeping, laundry and guest service independently.
Steward(ess)
- Previous yacht interior or luxury hospitality experience.
- Excellent housekeeping, food and beverage service skills.
Cook / Steward(ess)
- Experience in catering combined with housekeeping or interior service.
- Good food hygiene knowledge and a guest-focused approach.
