Job Responsibilities
Depending on the assigned position, duties may include:
- Perform duties according to the assigned position and vessel procedures.
- Support safe and efficient cruise ship operations.
- Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair marine machinery and technical systems.
- Carry out planned and corrective maintenance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, surveillance, and IT equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and report defects or abnormalities.
- Maintain technical records, maintenance logs, and operational documentation.
- Assist with emergency drills and onboard safety procedures.
- Follow company HSE policies and applicable maritime regulations.
- Maintain operational readiness throughout the contract.
- Work effectively within an international and multicultural crew.
Requirements
General Requirements
- Previous experience in the relevant position.
- Previous Cruise Ship or similar vessel experience preferred.
- Valid STCW certification relevant to the applied position.
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) / Certificate of Proficiency (COP) where applicable.
- Relevant technical, engineering, electrical, refrigeration, IT, or trade qualification.
- Valid Passport, Seaman's Book, and Medical Certificate where applicable.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong technical knowledge and safety awareness.
- Good teamwork and professional attitude.
- Physically and medically fit for onboard employment.
Position-Specific Requirements
3rd Engineer
- Valid Engineer Certificate of Competency.
- Relevant marine engineering experience.
Senior Engineer Repairman / Engine Repairman
- Relevant mechanical qualification or technical trade certification.
- Proven shipboard machinery repair and maintenance experience.
Motorman / Wiper
- Relevant engine-room rating certification as applicable.
- Previous marine engine-room experience preferred.
Assistant Refrigeration Engineer / Refrigeration Engineer
- Relevant refrigeration/HVAC qualification.
- Experience with marine refrigeration, air-conditioning, and HVAC systems.
Electrician / Assistant Electrician
- Relevant electrical qualification.
- Experience with marine electrical systems, generators, switchboards, and vessel power distribution.
Surveillance Technician
- Relevant experience with CCTV, security, surveillance, or electronic systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical skills.
Assistant IT Manager
- Relevant IT qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with IT networks, hardware, software, and onboard technical systems preferred.
