Position: Assistant Electro-Technical Officer (Assistant ETO)

Job Description

The Assistant ETO will support the electrical department with routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic equipment onboard.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance of electrical equipment and control systems.
• Perform inspections and report electrical defects.
• Support repairs of motors, lighting, and electrical components.
• Maintain tools and electrical maintenance records.
• Follow electrical isolation and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Relevant electrical or electro-technical qualifications.
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness certificate, as applicable.
• Previous shipboard or relevant technical experience.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and safe working practices.
• Good English communication and teamwork skills.
