Job Description:
Carnival Cruise Line is looking for a qualified electrical professional to join the onboard Electrical Team. The Electrical Team plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of electrical, electronic, automation, communication, entertainment, and control systems onboard, supporting both vessel operations and the guest experience.
Working under the supervision of the Staff Electro-Technical Officer (SETO) and alongside the Electro-Technical Officers (ETOs), the position is responsible for maintenance, repairs, routine testing, troubleshooting, and emergency interventions on a wide range of electrical and electronic equipment throughout the vessel.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Carry out maintenance, repairs, and routine testing of electrical and electronic equipment, communication and entertainment systems, automation and control systems, and electrical machinery in the Engine Room and Bridge.
• Ensure automation systems, power generation and electricity management, propulsion systems, and security systems remain operational under the supervision of the SETO.
• Perform routine and emergency interventions on navigation equipment such as Radar and GMDSS, as well as guest-service systems including TV, telephone, and entertainment equipment.
• Operate and maintain medium/low-voltage systems and onboard switchboards, including the emergency switchboard, while supporting Engine Control Room duties during maneuvering when required.
• Maintain electrical spare-part inventory, participate in dry-dock planning and external repair activities, support training and drills, and ensure compliance with the company's HESS-MS and occupational health and safety requirements.

Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates
• Valid Electro-Technical Officer / electrical certification appropriate for the position
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Relevant experience with marine electrical and electronic systems
• Knowledge of automation, power generation, electrical distribution, propulsion, communication, and navigation systems
• Ability to work safely with medium- and low-voltage electrical systems
• Ability to work effectively as part of an onboard Electrical Team
