Job Description

A-Z Yachting is seeking a skilled Sole Engineer to take responsibility for the yacht's engineering systems, machinery, and technical maintenance. The candidate should be capable of managing engineering operations independently and responding effectively to technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Operate, inspect, and maintain main engines and auxiliary machinery.
• Manage preventive maintenance and technical repairs.
• Monitor electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other onboard systems within the scope of competence.
• Maintain engineering records and monitor spare parts and supplies.
• Respond to breakdowns and follow onboard safety procedures.

Requirements

• Relevant experience as a Sole Engineer or in a similar engineering position.
• Appropriate engineering qualifications and certificates for the yacht's machinery and applicable regulations.
• Valid STCW certificates and medical certificate, as applicable.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot technical problems.
