Job Description

A beautiful sailing yacht with a well-established, long-term crew is seeking an experienced Sailing Yacht Engineer to join the team.

The yacht operates on a dual-season schedule in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, offering an opportunity to work aboard a vessel with an established crew and an international cruising itinerary.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yacht's engineering systems and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of its machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Maintain and monitor the yacht's engines, generators, and auxiliary machinery.
• Carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and technical repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and respond to engineering issues.
• Maintain engineering records and monitor spare parts and technical supplies.
• Ensure compliance with onboard safety procedures and equipment maintenance standards.
• Work closely with the Captain and crew to support safe and efficient yacht operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Engineer aboard a sailing yacht.
• Valid STCW 95 / STCW 2010 certificates.
• Valid ENG1 medical certificate.
• MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC 1 & 2) certificates.
• Practical knowledge of yacht machinery, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work professionally as part of an established yacht crew.
