Rotation: 3 weeks on / 1 week off
Cruising Plan: Caribbean at the end of October, followed by a world cruise

Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Deck/Engineer to join a 30-metre sailing yacht in Spain as soon as possible.

The yacht will sail to the Caribbean at the end of October before embarking on a world cruise. The Owners will be living onboard for most of the time, so the successful candidate must be flexible, professional, and comfortable working in a guest-focused environment.

There may also be an opportunity for a couple to join the yacht, with a Stewardess filling the accompanying position.

Previous offshore sailing experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with sailing operations, navigation, and deck duties.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the yacht's engines, machinery, and technical systems.
• Carry out routine maintenance and ensure all equipment is kept in good working condition.
• Assist with passage preparation, safety checks, and onboard emergency procedures.
• Support mooring, anchoring, and other deck operations.
• Maintain high standards of safety and professionalism while the Owners are onboard.

Requirements

• Proven offshore sailing experience — essential.
• Fluent English — essential.
• Valid STCW 95 / STCW 2010 certification.
• Valid ENG1 medical certificate.
• International Driving Permit (IDP).
• RYA Yachtmaster Offshore qualification.
• MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC 1 & 2) certificates.
• Strong practical deck and engineering skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small yacht crew.
• Flexibility to support an extended cruising itinerary.
