Job Description:
Carnival Cruise Line is looking for an Assistant Electrician to join the Technical/Engine Department onboard one of its cruise vessels. The position supports the Electro-Technical Officers and is responsible for helping maintain lighting and other electrical equipment throughout the ship, ensuring that systems remain operational and fully functional for guests and crew.
The role involves working behind the scenes to keep the vessel’s electrical systems running safely and reliably. The position offers an opportunity to develop a career within Carnival’s technical team onboard its cruise ships.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assist Electro-Technical Officers with the maintenance and operation of electrical equipment onboard.
• Help ensure lighting and other electrical equipment remain operational and fully functional.
• Support the Technical/Engine Department with day-to-day electrical maintenance activities.
• Follow the vessel’s safety management procedures and company safety requirements.
• Work effectively as part of the technical team and support the safe operation of the ship.

Requirements:
• Minimum 24 months of proven experience in the electrical field
• High School Diploma
• Technical training in the electrical field preferred; ETR III/7 preferred
• Applicant must be 21+ years old
• Basic Training Certificates in accordance with STCW standards
• English language proficiency
• Strong focus on the ship’s safety management
• Ability to work well with a team
• Valid medical fitness / ability to pass a Seafarers Medical Fitness Examination
Preferred:
• Shipboard experience in the same capacity onboard a cruise ship
• Experience in a guest-facing environment
• “Can-do” attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration
