Job Description:
SSM Maritime Services Inc. is recruiting a qualified Medic / Nurse to join a Passenger Vessel. The successful candidate will provide onboard medical care, respond to medical emergencies, maintain medical records, and support the health and wellbeing of passengers and crew in accordance with applicable maritime and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Provide first aid, medical assessment, and treatment to passengers and crew.
Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate emergency care when required.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Monitor and manage onboard medical supplies and equipment.
Promote hygiene, health, and safety standards onboard.
Requirements:
Qualified Medic / Registered Nurse
Valid nursing or medical qualification and professional registration
Previous onboard, maritime, cruise, or Passenger Vessel experience preferred
Valid medical fitness certificate
Valid STCW certificates as applicable
Valid seafarer's documents and passport
Good command of English
Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment
