Job Description

MYSAUST is looking for a motivated Junior Deckhand to join a Motor Yacht operating in Australia and French Polynesia.

This opportunity is suitable for a developing yacht crew member looking to gain practical experience in deck operations, yacht maintenance and guest support under the supervision of senior deck crew.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with routine deck cleaning and maintenance
• Help prepare the yacht for guest arrivals and departures
• Support tender operations under supervision
• Assist with mooring and anchoring activities
• Maintain deck equipment and working areas
• Follow instructions from senior deck crew and comply with safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous yacht or maritime experience is an advantage
• Entry-level candidates with a strong willingness to learn may be considered
• Valid STCW certification
• Valid ENG1 or equivalent seafarer medical certificate
• Valid passport and relevant travel documentation
• Basic to good English communication skills
• Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to work as part of a team
