Job Description:
Viking Crew is seeking an experienced Chief Officer to join a private sailing yacht of more than 50 metres. The yacht will join in the South Pacific and has a worldwide cruising programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the deck department and assist the Captain.
- Oversee the Safety Management System, ISM compliance, drills and onboard safety.
- Perform navigation, watchkeeping and vessel handling under sail and power.
- Manage deck, sail and rigging maintenance.
- Mentor crew and prepare operational reports.
- Maintain vessel documentation, certificates and survey records.
Requirements:
- Valid OOW Yachts qualification.
- Previous experience appropriate to a Chief Officer position on a large sailing yacht.
