Job Description:
Compass Rose Crew is recruiting a Chief Engineer for a private motor yacht of more than 40 metres cruising throughout the USA and Caribbean. This is a rotational position requiring a hands-on engineer with strong technical and project-management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the yacht's engineering systems and technical operations.
- Use and maintain the onboard planned maintenance system.
- Manage vessel surveys and coordinate technical projects.
- Support shipyard projects and related technical work.
Requirements:
- Y3 or equivalent engineering qualification or higher.
- Valid B1/B2 visa or eligibility to work under one.
- Experience with AV/IT systems.
- Previous shipyard experience.
- Experience managing surveys and coordinating technical projects.
- Experience working with planned maintenance systems.
- Excellent references and a stable employment history.
Employment Details:
- Vessel: 40m+ Private Motor Yacht.
- Area of Sailing: USA and Caribbean.
- Rotation: 2 months on and 2 months off.
- Start Date: Mid-September 2026.
- Salary: Based on experience.
