Job Description

MYSAUST is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a Motor Yacht operating in Australia and French Polynesia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the yacht's engineering department, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery and technical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all engineering operations onboard
• Maintain propulsion systems, generators and auxiliary machinery
• Supervise technical maintenance and repair work
• Implement preventative maintenance procedures
• Maintain engine-room records and technical documentation
• Ensure compliance with onboard safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience as Chief Engineer or in a senior engineering position onboard yachts
• Strong knowledge of yacht propulsion and auxiliary systems
• Valid engineering Certificate of Competency appropriate to the vessel
• Valid STCW certification
• Valid ENG1 or equivalent seafarer medical certificate
• Valid passport and relevant travel documentation
• Good English communication skills
• Strong technical, leadership and problem-solving skills
