Job Description

YachtCrew UK is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join a 90m private motor yacht for a temporary five-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

The yacht will be based in the Mediterranean throughout the winter period. The successful candidate will assist with general carpentry, joinery, basic repairs, interior improvements, guest-area touch-ups, and cabinet maintenance.

We are looking for a skilled and reliable professional with a proven carpentry background who can work independently, remain motivated, and complete tasks to a high standard within agreed deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general carpentry, joinery, and woodwork repairs throughout the yacht.
• Perform cabinet maintenance, adjustments, and repairs.
• Complete minor repairs and improvements in guest and crew areas.
• Carry out touch-ups and finishing work to maintain the yacht's interior presentation.
• Repair or replace damaged wooden fixtures, fittings, and furnishings as required.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Organize materials, tools, and work areas efficiently.
• Coordinate with the relevant departments regarding repair priorities and scheduled maintenance.
• Follow onboard safety procedures and complete assigned tasks within agreed deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven professional carpentry experience.
• Solid practical experience in joinery, cabinetry, repairs, and finishing work.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Motivated, reliable, and proactive approach to work.
• Previous yacht or marine carpentry experience is advantageous.
• Valid STCW certificates – essential.
• Valid ENG1 medical certificate – essential.
• Valid PDSD certificate – essential.
• Availability to start in early November 2026.
• Willingness to commit to the initial five-month contract.
