Location: Far North Queensland, Old Mapoon and Cairns, Australia
Job Description:
An experienced Relief Captain is required for a 32m expedition motor yacht for approximately 10 days while the permanent Captain is on leave. The vessel will complete the final week of a fishing program in Old Mapoon before returning to Cairns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely command the vessel and manage daily operations.
- Manage the established crew and maintain onboard standards.
- Complete the final week of the fishing program.
- Return the vessel to Cairns after the guest trip.
Requirements:
- Master 4, MCA Master 500GT or equivalent.
- Proven Captain experience on similar-sized vessels.
- Strong command and crew-management skills.
- Valid and current qualifications and certificates.
- Australian working rights.
- Current location in Australia, New Zealand or the Indo-Pacific region.
- Fishing and remote-area expedition experience are advantageous.
