Job Description:
We are urgently recruiting an Able Seaman (AB) for a new passenger vessel venture operating on the UK → Cape Town → Tristan da Cunha route. The vessel is a passenger ferry with a Gross Tonnage of 2,090 GT, with a maximum capacity of 36 passengers and 21 crew members. The vessel will have 3 Messmen onboard. The contract duration is 9 months, with joining scheduled in the UK at the end of September 2026.
The Able Seaman will perform duties according to rank, support safe and efficient deck operations, maintain safety and cleanliness onboard, and cooperate with officers and other crew members to ensure smooth vessel operations.

• Assisting with deck maintenance and general seamanship duties
• Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and good working conditions onboard

• Valid STCW certificates applicable to the position
• Medical fitness certificate
• Valid seaman’s book
• Relevant qualifications for the applied position
• Relevant experience in the respective rank
• Proficiency in English communication
