Job Description:
PONANT Cruises / UVEA Marine Services S.A.S. is urgently recruiting an experienced Able Seaman (AB) / Zodiac Driver for an international cruise or expedition vessel.
The successful candidate must have previous international shipboard experience working as an AB onboard a cruise ship or expedition vessel. In addition to standard AB duties, the candidate must be qualified and experienced in operating a Zodiac boat.
The position is scheduled to join on 1 August 2026 for a 6-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Performing routine Able Seaman deck duties onboard the vessel.
Assisting with mooring, anchoring, maintenance and general deck operations.
Operating Zodiac boats safely during expedition and passenger operations.
Supporting embarkation, disembarkation and small-boat operations.
Following vessel safety procedures and company HSE requirements.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid medical fitness certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Previous international shipboard experience as an AB.
Previous experience onboard a cruise ship or expedition vessel.
Proven experience and competence as a Zodiac Driver.
Relevant Able Seaman certification / Certificate of Proficiency.
