Job Description:
Carnival Cruise Line is looking for a qualified Able Body (AB) to join the Deck Department onboard one of its cruise vessels.
The Able Body is responsible for supporting deck operations, maintenance activities, mooring operations, bridge and gangway watches, lifesaving appliances, and various shipboard cleaning and painting duties. The position requires strict compliance with the Company's environmental, occupational health and safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Perform arrival and departure maneuvers as required by the vessel's schedule and assist at the mooring station during un/mooring operations.
• Perform maintenance of lifesaving appliances under the supervision of the 1st Bosun, as well as chipping and painting of external deck areas, funnel, tanks, and other designated areas.
• Conduct bridge and gangway watch, hand steering, lookout duties, and correctly interpret navigational lights, shapes, and sound signals.
• Perform water shuttle services, cherry picker operations, and cleaning and painting of freshwater tanks, ballast tanks, void spaces, and heeling tanks.
• Carry out laundry, galley, backstage, and other duties as assigned by the Staff Captain or Bosun.

Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Relevant deck experience in a similar position
• Ability to perform bridge and gangway watch, lookout, and hand steering duties
• Knowledge of navigational lights, shapes, and sound signals
• Ability to safely perform deck maintenance, painting, cleaning, and mooring operations
• Ability to comply with the Company's environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural onboard team
