Job Description:
OSM Thome is recruiting a 3rd Engineer (3/E) to join a passenger ferry trading in European waters. The 3rd Engineer will be an integral part of the engine department, supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all main and auxiliary machinery to ensure smooth daily ferry operations with frequent port calls.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assisting in the operation and maintenance of main engines and auxiliary machinery
• Carrying out routine engine room checks, inspections, and recording operational readings
• Performing planned maintenance and repairs under the direction of senior engineers
• Monitoring bunker fuel, lubricating oil, and consumables and reporting irregularities
• Following all safety, environmental, and company procedures
• Assisting during drills, port calls, and any additional duties as assigned onboard

Requirements:
• Valid STCW 3rd Engineer CoC (III/1 or higher) suitable for passenger vessels
• Previous seagoing experience as 3rd Engineer or 4th Engineer, preferably on passenger ferries or ships
• Valid STCW certificates and Medical Fitness Certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work effectively in a team
• Willingness to work in a busy operational environment
