Job Description:
A cruise ship operator is seeking a qualified Second Engineer to support the safe and efficient operation of the vessel’s engine department. The successful candidate will assist with machinery maintenance, technical inspections, and the reliable operation of propulsion and auxiliary systems.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the operation and maintenance of engines and auxiliary machinery.
- Conducting preventive maintenance and troubleshooting technical faults.
- Monitoring machinery performance and reporting defects.
- Maintaining engineering logs and maintenance records.
- Following onboard safety procedures and company technical standards.

Requirements:
- Relevant engineering qualifications and certificates for the position.
- Valid STCW certificates and Seaman’s Book.
- Valid medical fitness certificate in accordance with applicable STCW standards.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the same position or on a similar vessel.
- Previous cruise or passenger vessel experience preferred.
- Proficiency in English communication.
