Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced 2nd Engineer to join a Reefer Vessel operated by our client, a market leader in specialized refrigerated shipping. The company manages a large fleet of well-maintained reefer vessels trading worldwide, transporting a wide range of fresh products, mainly palletized cargo under deck and reefer containers on deck.
The vessels operate with a mixed crew, offering a professional and cooperative working environment. The contract duration is approximately 2 months ± 1 month, with an ASAP joining date. We are looking for a hardworking, hands-on team player who is motivated to work in a dynamic and technically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to: • Performing duties as 2nd Engineer on board a reefer vessel
• Assisting in the operation, maintenance, and repair of main and auxiliary machinery
• Supporting the Chief Engineer in ensuring safe and efficient engine room operations
• Maintaining technical systems in accordance with company and regulatory standards
Requirements:
• Certificate of Competency – 2nd Engineer (No Limitations)
• Valid STCW certificates
• Hands-on mentality and strong work ethic
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
Experience:
• Previous experience as a 2nd Engineer on seagoing vessels (reefer experience preferred)
