Job Description

The Second Engineer will support the Chief Engineer in managing machinery systems, engine-room maintenance, and the daily technical operation of the vessel.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned machinery and engine-room systems.
• Organize preventive maintenance and repair activities.
• Supervise engine-room ratings during assigned tasks.
• Monitor machinery performance and report defects.
• Maintain maintenance records and follow onboard safety procedures.

Requirements

• Valid engineering CoC appropriate to the vessel and assigned duties.
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness certificate.
• Previous shipboard engineering experience.
• Good technical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English.
