Steward / Messman for Oil Tanker Vessel (Europe)

Job Description

A skilled Steward / Messman is required to join a Malta-flagged Oil Tanker engaged in cabotage operations in Italian waters.

The successful candidate will work closely with the catering crew and support the day-to-day catering and housekeeping operations onboard. Previous experience as a Messman on oil tankers or similar vessels is required.

The position involves extended periods at sea, with a working period of approximately 4 months.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist the catering crew with daily mess and housekeeping duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in assigned accommodation and common areas.
• Support meal service and general catering operations as required.
• Work effectively as part of the onboard catering team.
• Strictly follow all vessel safety protocols and company procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Messman on oil tankers or similar vessels
• Valid STCW documents
• Valid National Seaman’s Book
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Good knowledge of English
• Valid passport and required seafarer documentation
