Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Steward / Messman to join a Multi-Role Survey Vessel operating in UK waters. The vessel is Bahamas-flagged and under 3,000 GRT. This is a temporary offshore assignment commencing on 10–11 July 2026 with an expected duration of 2–4 weeks. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of housekeeping, catering support, and accommodation services while contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the vessel. Due to the vessel's operating area, only candidates who are UK residents or hold a valid UK work permit will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Maintain cleanliness of accommodation, galley, and communal areas.
Assist with meal preparation, serving, and galley operations.
Manage housekeeping duties and replenish onboard supplies.
Support the crew by ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
Comply with company policies and international maritime safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Medical fitness certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Previous experience as a Steward / Messman on offshore vessels is mandatory.
UK residency or a valid UK work permit is mandatory.
Valid seafarer's documents required for offshore employment.
