Messmen for Ferry / Passenger Vessels (UK)

Job Description:
We are urgently recruiting Messmen for a new passenger vessel venture operating on the UK → Cape Town → Tristan da Cunha route. The vessel is a passenger ferry with a Gross Tonnage of 2,090 GT, with a maximum capacity of 36 passengers and 21 crew members. There will be 3 Messmen onboard. The contract duration is 9 months, with joining scheduled in the UK at the end of September 2026.

The Messman will perform assigned duties according to company policy, support the cleanliness and good working conditions onboard, and cooperate with officers and crew members to ensure smooth daily vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Performing assigned mess and general onboard duties
• Maintaining cleanliness and good working conditions in designated areas
• Supporting daily housekeeping and service duties onboard
• Following company procedures and onboard safety requirements
• Cooperating with officers and other crew members

• Valid STCW certificates applicable to the position
• Medical fitness certificate
• Valid seaman’s book
• Relevant qualifications for the applied position
• Relevant experience in the respective position
• Proficiency in English communication
