Messman / Steward for Container Carrier Vessel

Job Description

Navilands Marine Inc. is urgently hiring a Messman / Steward for its Container Carrier fleet.

The successful candidate will support the catering department with mess-room service, housekeeping, accommodation cleaning, and general catering assistance.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Maintain cleanliness of mess rooms and accommodation areas.
• Assist with meal service and mess-room preparation.
• Support the catering team with cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Assist with catering stores and supplies.
• Follow onboard hygiene and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous Messman / Steward experience preferred
• Maritime catering or hospitality experience advantageous
• Valid STCW certificates as applicable
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Relevant Container Carrier experience preferred
• Valid seafarer documents and certificates
• Valid US Visa preferred
• Good English communication skills
