Messman for Ro-Ro / General Cargo Vessels

Job Description:

PTC is seeking a Messman to support catering and accommodation services aboard a Ro-Ro / General Cargo Vessels. The successful candidate will assist with mess room service, cleaning, and maintaining hygienic living and dining areas for the crew.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Clean and maintain mess rooms, dining areas, and assigned accommodation spaces.
• Assist with meal service and galley support as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in food service areas.
• Assist with storing provisions and supplies.
• Follow onboard hygiene, safety, and sanitation procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Messman or in a similar shipboard support role preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates as required for the position.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Ability to work as part of the catering and vessel support team.
