Messman for Oil / Chemical Tanker Vessel

Job Description:

Stella Marris Shipmanagement Inc. is seeking a Messman to join an Oil/Chemical Tanker. The successful candidate will assist with catering services, meal service, galley cleaning, accommodation upkeep, and other duties assigned by the Chief Cook or designated supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with meal preparation and food service.
• Clean and maintain the galley, mess room, and assigned accommodation areas.
• Assist with food storage and handling of provisions.
• Maintain proper hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Follow onboard safety procedures and instructions from the catering team.

Requirements:

• Valid STCW certificates applicable to the position.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid Seaman's Book and passport.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Previous experience as a Messman or in a similar catering role is preferred.
• Previous vessel experience is an advantage.
