Job Description:
A reputable crewing company is seeking an experienced Catering Boy / Messman (MSM) to join an LPG vessel. The successful candidate will support the galley and accommodation departments by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with meal service, and ensuring a hygienic living environment for the crew. Candidates holding Basic Training for Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations (BTLGT) certification are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist the Chief Cook with meal preparation and food service.
Clean and maintain the galley, mess rooms, and accommodation areas.
Handle stores and galley supplies as assigned.
Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards.
Support daily housekeeping duties onboard.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Medical fitness certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Valid BTLGT (Basic Training for Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations) certificate.
Previous experience as a Catering Boy/Messman on an LPG or similar vessel is preferred.
