Job Description

Benteng Marine Services is recruiting an experienced Messman to join a Bulk Carrier vessel operating worldwide.

The successful candidate will support the catering department by assisting with meal service, cleaning, galley operations, and maintaining hygiene standards in crew accommodation and dining areas.

Position Available

• Messman – USD 1,200/month

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with meal preparation and galley duties
• Serve meals to officers and crew
• Clean and maintain the mess room, galley, and assigned areas
• Assist with food storage and handling
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards
• Follow onboard safety procedures and company instructions

Requirements

• Valid Panama Seaman's Book – mandatory
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as Messman onboard Bulk Carrier vessels
• All documents must remain valid for more than one year
• Previous experience working with multinational crews
• Availability to join immediately
• Relevant seafarer documentation
• Good English communication skills
• Strong hygiene awareness and teamwork skills
