Job Description
Vinarco is recruiting an experienced Laundry Man to join an offshore jack-up drilling rig operating in Songkhla, Thailand.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing laundry services for offshore personnel, maintaining cleanliness of linen and work clothing, and ensuring that laundry equipment and designated areas are kept in good condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, sort and process crew clothing, towels and linen.
- Operate washing machines, dryers and ironing equipment.
- Wash, dry, fold and distribute laundry items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room.
- Monitor laundry supplies and cleaning materials.
- Follow appropriate procedures for handling different types of clothing and linen.
- Report equipment defects and maintenance requirements.
- Comply with onboard hygiene, housekeeping and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Thai nationality – candidates from Thailand are invited to apply.
- Previous experience as a Laundry Man or in a similar housekeeping position.
- Relevant offshore accommodation or catering experience is preferred.
- Previous experience on jack-up drilling rigs or offshore installations is an advantage.
- Knowledge of laundry equipment and cleaning procedures.
- Good understanding of hygiene and housekeeping standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily laundry duties.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid offshore safety training and medical fitness certification, as required by the employer.
- Good command of English is an advantage.
