Job Description

Select Offshore is urgently seeking an experienced Second Cook to join a Heavy Lift Vessel (HLV) operating in the Far East.

The successful candidate will assist the Chief Cook with daily galley operations, meal preparation, provisioning, and maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety onboard.

Candidates must hold valid STCW certificates, BOSIET with CA-EBS, and a valid Schengen Visa. Immediate availability is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Cook with preparing daily meals for officers and crew.
• Prepare ingredients and cook meals in accordance with onboard catering requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the galley and food-preparation areas.
• Assist with menu preparation and accommodate dietary requirements where practicable.
• Monitor food supplies, storage conditions, and stock rotation.
• Ensure safe food handling and proper temperature control.
• Clean and maintain galley equipment and utensils.
• Follow onboard food-safety procedures and HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Second Cook or in a similar shipboard catering position.
• Relevant cooking experience and knowledge of food hygiene.
• Valid BOSIET with CA-EBS – mandatory.
• Valid STCW certificates – mandatory.
• Valid Schengen Visa – mandatory.
• Valid Seaman's Book and medical fitness certificate, where required.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an international crew.
• Availability for immediate mobilisation.
