Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Cook/Ordinary Seaman (OS) to join a General Cargo Vessel operating in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals for the crew while also assisting with deck operations as required. This role is ideal for candidates who are flexible, team-oriented, and willing to support both catering and deck departments onboard. The position is available from 3 July for a short-term contract of 4–6 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Preparing and serving nutritious meals for crew members in accordance with hygiene standards
• Managing galley cleanliness, food storage, and inventory control
• Assisting with deck operations, maintenance, and housekeeping duties as required
• Supporting cargo-related and mooring operations under the supervision of senior deck officers
• Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations onboard

Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Valid Cook Certificate of Competency (Cook CoC)
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
• Valid Seaman’s Book
• Valid Passport
• UK working rights are mandatory
• Willingness to perform deck duties in addition to galley responsibilities
