Job Description
Winning Logistic is seeking an experienced Cook to join a tanker vessel with a gross tonnage exceeding 12,000.
The successful candidate will prepare meals for the crew, manage daily galley activities and maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safe food storage. Previous experience in the same rank onboard tanker vessels is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily meals for the vessel’s crew.
- Plan menus and manage food preparation according to onboard requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the galley and mess areas.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food supplies.
- Monitor provisions and report shortages or replenishment requirements.
- Follow onboard health, safety and food hygiene procedures.
- Maintain catering equipment and keep working areas organized.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Cook onboard tanker vessels.
- Experience on tanker vessels exceeding 12,000 GRT, as specified by the employer.
- Valid certificates in accordance with STCW 2010.
- Valid BST MSC 560 certificate, as specified in the recruitment announcement.
- All documents and certificates must remain valid for a minimum of 18 months.
- Familiarity with SIRE inspections.
- Relevant cooking experience and knowledge of food hygiene.
- Good command of English and effective communication skills.
- Valid passport, seaman’s book and medical fitness certificate, as applicable.
- Ability to work independently and provide meals for a multicultural crew.
