Job Description
An urgent temporary opportunity is available for an experienced Ships Cook to join a UK-based PSV (Platform Supply Vessel). The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals for the vessel's crew while maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness onboard.
This is a short-term assignment with immediate mobilisation to Hartlepool, UK, with joining scheduled for 9th/10th September. Due to the immediate mobilisation requirements, candidates must currently be located within the UK, Ireland, or EU.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and serve meals for vessel crew in accordance with onboard requirements.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and galley safety.
- Manage food preparation, storage, and handling in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Maintain the galley, cooking equipment, utensils, and food storage areas in clean and safe condition.
- Ensure compliance with vessel procedures and health, safety, and hygiene requirements.
Requirements
- Valid Ships Cook Certificate of Competency (CoC) – mandatory.
- Valid Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate – mandatory.
- Valid STCW Certification – mandatory.
- Valid Designated Security Duties (DSD) certification.
- Relevant experience as a Ships Cook, preferably onboard PSV or similar offshore vessels.
- Candidates must be available for immediate mobilisation.
- UK, Ireland, or EU-based candidates only due to immediate mobilisation requirements.
