Job Description

Fortis Engineering is seeking an experienced Cook to join its marine operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for the crew, maintaining galley cleanliness, and ensuring proper food storage and hygiene standards onboard.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals for onboard crew members
• Plan menus and organise food preparation
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the galley
• Manage food storage and monitor provisions
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Maintain galley equipment and supplies
• Ensure efficient use of provisions and minimise food waste

Requirements

• Relevant cooking experience, preferably in a marine environment
• Valid seafarer's documents and certificates
• Relevant food hygiene or catering certificates, as applicable
• Good English communication skills
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain high hygiene standards
