Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Cook / Steward to join a vessel operating under FWP conditions in the United Kingdom. The position is for an immediate start next week, with a contract duration of 6 weeks.
The successful candidate will support galley operations and maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping onboard. This role requires valid certification and the legal right to work in the UK. Candidates must be fully compliant with offshore and maritime safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assisting the Cook in meal preparation and galley operations
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the galley and accommodation areas
Supporting stock control and safe storage of provisions
Ensuring compliance with food safety and offshore safety regulations
Assisting with general stewarding and housekeeping duties onboard
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Right to work in the United Kingdom
Cook COC
GWO WAH & SS certificates
Relevant previous experience in similar position preferred
