Assistant Cook for Jack-Up Rig

Job Description:

DMC Offshore is recruiting an Assistant Cook for an upcoming Jack-Up Drilling Rig project in Croatia.

The successful candidate will assist the Cook with food preparation, meal service, galley operations, and provision management while maintaining appropriate hygiene and food-safety standards.

Croatian candidates are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates from other EU countries are also welcome if they hold or are eligible to obtain a valid A1 certificate.

The initial assignment will last approximately 60–90 days, with mobilisation as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist the Cook with food preparation and meal service.
• Prepare ingredients and support daily galley operations.
• Maintain galley cleanliness and wash utensils and equipment.
• Help receive, store, and organise food provisions.
• Follow food hygiene, safe food-handling, and onboard safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience as an Assistant Cook or in a similar catering role.
• Previous offshore or industrial catering experience is an advantage.
• Relevant food hygiene and food-handling documentation.
• Valid offshore safety training and medical certification, as required by the project.
• Good English communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a catering team.
• Croatian candidates particularly encouraged to apply.
• Other EU candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid A1 certificate.
• Availability for immediate mobilisation and the full 60–90-day assignment.
