Job Description:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Assistant Cook for a modern Drillship operating on a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotation. This is a long-term offshore opportunity offering a competitive salary, seniority bonus, and rejoining bonus.
The Assistant Cook will support the Chief Cook in preparing high-quality meals for the offshore crew while maintaining strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards. The successful candidate must be capable of working efficiently in a dynamic offshore environment and providing excellent catering services to personnel onboard.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Prepare and cook meals for the crew while meeting dietary requirements and maintaining high-quality standards.
Assist the Chief Cook with food inventory management and minimizing food waste.
Support menu planning and daily galley operations.
Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized galley in accordance with food safety regulations.
Participate in emergency drills and comply with all company HSE and offshore safety procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Medical fitness certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Previous experience in catering or hospitality, preferably onboard offshore vessels or in maritime environments.
Valid food safety and hygiene certification.
Good physical fitness for offshore work.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to offshore working conditions.
Good understanding of offshore safety procedures and company policies.
