Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in managing and overseeing all galley operations onboard. The Executive Sous Chef will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality, preparation, and presentation for both guests and crew. This position requires strong culinary leadership skills, operational control, and the ability to maintain consistency in a high-volume luxury environment at sea.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assisting the Executive Chef in managing all galley operations
• Supervising food preparation and kitchen brigade activities
• Ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and efficiency in food production
• Supporting menu planning and execution for guests and crew
• Maintaining strict compliance with hygiene, safety, and public health standards
• Conducting training and supporting the development of galley staff

Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a 5-star international establishment
• At least 1 year experience as Sous Chef
• Michelin-star / Relais & Châteaux experience considered an advantage
• Strong knowledge of international cuisine with European culinary background
• Ability to apply and demonstrate strong culinary fundamentals
• Solid understanding of public health, sanitation, and food safety standards
• Proficiency in English communication (fluent verbal and written)
• Additional languages considered an asset (German, French, Italian, Spanish, Mandarin)
