Kestrel Shipping Inc. is recruiting a qualified Chief Cook for an Oil/Chemical Tanker Vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing daily meals for the crew while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and galley safety.

Greek cuisine experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Preparing daily meals, including Greek-style cuisine.
• Planning menus and managing food provisions.
• Maintaining high standards of galley cleanliness and food hygiene.
• Ensuring proper food storage and safe food-handling procedures.
• Managing provisions efficiently and minimizing food waste.

Requirements

• Previous experience preparing Greek cuisine is required.
• Previous shipboard Chief Cook experience.
• Valid STCW certificates as applicable.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Food hygiene / food safety certification as required.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Valid seafarer’s book and relevant documents.
