Job Description:
MT Crew Management Philippines Inc. is hiring 1 Chief Cook to join a General Cargo vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for the crew, with a focus on European cuisine, while maintaining high standards of food hygiene and galley cleanliness onboard.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Prepare daily meals with a focus on European cuisine.
Plan menus and manage food preparation according to crew requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the galley and food storage areas.
Monitor food provisions and manage galley supplies efficiently.
Ensure compliance with onboard food safety and sanitation procedures.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Chief Cook
Experience preparing European cuisine – Mandatory
General Cargo vessel experience preferred
Valid Cook/Chief Cook certification as applicable
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Valid seafarer's documents
Good command of English
Ability to work effectively as part of a multinational crew
