Job Description:
Select Offshore is seeking an experienced Chief Cook to join a Dredger operating in Brazil. The successful candidate will oversee all galley operations, ensuring the preparation of high-quality meals, maintaining food hygiene standards, and managing catering services for the crew. Candidates must be available one week prior to joining to complete the required training before mobilization.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for the vessel's crew.
Manage galley inventory, food storage, and provisioning.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation in compliance with company procedures.
Supervise galley operations and ensure efficient meal service.
Comply with all safety, food handling, and environmental regulations onboard.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Valid Ship's Cook Certificate of Competency (CoC)
Previous experience as Chief Cook on dredgers or similar offshore vessels is preferred
Available one week before joining to attend mandatory training
Valid Passport and Seaman's Book
Employment Details:
Contract Duration: 5-week rotation
