Job Description:
Vessel Type: Container Vessel
A leading shipping company is looking for an experienced Chief Cook (CCK) to join its Container Vessel fleet. The Chief Cook will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for the crew while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and galley management.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Prepare and serve daily meals for the crew.
Plan menus and manage food inventory and storage.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the galley.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Control food consumption and minimize waste.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Valid Ship's Cook Certificate or equivalent qualification
Previous experience as Chief Cook on cargo or container vessels
Knowledge of international food safety standards
