Job Description:
KJCM Maritime Corporation is recruiting an experienced Chief Cook to join a Container Carrier vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals for the crew, maintaining high standards of galley hygiene, managing food provisions, and ensuring proper food safety procedures onboard. Previous European cuisine experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Prepare daily meals and menus for the crew, including European cuisine.
Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and galley cleanliness.
Manage food provisions and monitor stock levels.
Ensure proper food storage and safe food handling.
Follow onboard health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Chief Cook onboard vessels
European cuisine experience required
Container Carrier experience preferred
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Valid seafarer's documents and relevant certificates
