Job Description

Kvarnership is seeking an experienced Chief Cook (CCK) to join a Chemical Tanker vessel for an upcoming deployment in November 2026.

The Chief Cook will be responsible for preparing meals for the crew, managing galley operations and maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety onboard.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for officers and crew members
• Plan menus and organise daily galley operations
• Manage food supplies, storage and provisions
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the galley
• Follow food safety procedures and onboard sanitation standards
• Monitor food inventory and minimise waste

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chief Cook onboard a vessel is required
• Previous maritime catering experience
• Valid food hygiene or food safety certification, where applicable
• Valid STCW certification appropriate to the position
• Valid passport, seaman's book and medical certificate
• Good English communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage galley operations
