Job Description:
Synergy Group is currently recruiting experienced Chief Cooks to join Bulk Carrier vessels. The Chief Cook will be responsible for preparing daily meals for the crew, with particular emphasis on Indian cuisine, while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and galley safety onboard.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Prepare daily meals and menus for the vessel's crew.
Prepare a variety of Indian cuisine according to crew preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the galley and food preparation areas.
Manage food stores and ensure proper storage of provisions.
Follow onboard food safety and sanitation procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid medical fitness certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Proven experience as a Chief Cook onboard merchant vessels.
Good knowledge and practical experience in preparing Indian cuisine.
Ability to work independently and maintain high galley standards.
